The water cycle sounds like it's a bunch of water that keeps moving, and it is but this continuous cycle also needs a place for the water to rest. Normally it takes place in any area of water from a puddle to an ocean. Oceans collect most of the water that falls out of the sky as precipitation. 96.5% of the Earth's water supply is found in oceans. That's a lot of water!!
