Condensation is the process in which water vapor in the air is changed into a liquid. This process is critical to the water cycle because it forms clouds which precipitate to keep the cycle going. Did you know that condensation is the opposite of evaporation! Condensation isn't just clouds. When you have fog on your windows or your glass is cold and water drips off, it's caused by condensation. Water changes between the three phases of water when the water molecules move around. The water molecules in water vapor are more scattered around than the ones in water's liquid form. when condensation happens the water molecules move around more freely.
